shift.online are the UK’s cheapest and easiest man and van shifting service. They are an on-your-schedule logistics service moving anything for both businesses and consumers. Whether that be moving home, picking up items you’ve purchased online, moving office, moving furniture or taking an old ironing board to the skip, Shift has you covered. They use a network of independent drivers and fleets and make use of intelligent algorithms to find the best-suited driver from a pool of thousands. This means that Shift is the only company that can offer an easy service on your schedule at disruptor level prices, whatever you’re moving.

Improved Booking Experience

shift.online where going through a rebranding and required an updated user experience during the shift booking process. They required that the page be mobile responsive and that conversion rate increased due to a simplified booking process.

How we solved it

Our approach

Was a simple approach. First scaffold the React app and make sure that our css for the scaffolding was mobile responsive. We then acquired all the digital assets and branding from Shift’s design team. We then created the web page using Reactjs, building all the front end animations and UX. Once this was completed we moved onto building the API’s to interact with Shift’s database and then integrated their payment gateway to complete bookings.

Simple, sleek, intuitive design. Makes the user experience enjoyable because of its ease of use.

In the Cloud

Making use of AWS EC2 servers, the system’s data resides on the cloud and utilises the full backing and power of Amazon Virtual servers. This means little, if any, downtime of the servers.

Development Speed

By using Reactjs, and principled software development techniques and methods, we where able to deliver the booking screen in a fraction of the time if we had used other technologies.
